Purpose of the Job

The Freight Operations (Land Freight) at Aramex supports the efficient and timely movement of road freight shipments. This role assists in coordinating domestic and cross-border land transportation, ensuring smooth execution from pick-up to delivery while following company and regulatory standards. The individual works closely with drivers, transport vendors, and internal teams to monitor shipments, update delivery status, and handle basic operational issues. The role also supports scheduling, documentation, and tracking to ensure accurate, on-time, and cost-effective transportation.

Job Description

  • Assist in scheduling, tracking, and delivery of land freight shipments to meet customer timelines
  • Coordinate with transport vendors and drivers to arrange pick-ups, deliveries, and monitor shipment progress
  • Communicate with internal teams (CMTs) to ensure shipments are handled smoothly without delays
  • Update CMTs on any shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Support preparation and verification of shipping documents (e.g., delivery notes, invoices, basic customs paperwork)
  • Align with CMTs on handling timelines and operational priorities
  • Help ensure dispatch and delivery schedules meet customer requirements
  • Follow up on shipment status, delivery schedules, and readiness for collection
  • Assist in coordinating basic operational needs such as documentation and shipment handling
  • Monitor shipments to ensure proper handling and compliance with company standards
  • Support data entry and updates in internal systems and required platforms
  • Coordinate document collection from terminals, vendors, and relevant parties
  • Follow standard operating procedures in daily activities to ensure smooth operations
  • Support cost awareness by following planned routes and approved transport arrangements

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or freight operations (land freight preferred)
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Familiarity with logistics systems (e.g., WMS or similar platforms) is an advantage
  • Basic understanding of freight documentation and operational processes (domestic/cross-border is a plus)
  • Experience using CargoWise or similar systems is preferred
  • Good attention to detail and willingness to learn operational processes
