Purpose of the Job

The Freight Operations Executive is responsible for handling export and import air freight shipments while ensuring smooth, end-to-end movement of goods. The role supports daily operational activities, documentation, regulatory compliance, and customer service.

Job Description

Handle export and import air freight shipments, ensuring smooth end-to-end coordination and timely movement of goods.
Arrange shipment collections, pickups, and delivery orders.
Prepare and manage all shipment documentation, including bookings, scheduling, and cutting Air Waybills.
Coordinate customs clearance procedures as required.
Work closely with the sales team on business opportunities and shipment requirements.
Provide customer service support, including responding to customer inquiries and ensuring timely updates.
Communicate with carriers, overseas agents, and customers via phone and email.
Ensure accurate shipment data entry into company systems and submission to government agencies as required.
Track and monitor shipment milestones to ensure timely departure and delivery.
Verify shipment documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and other required paperwork.
Support the processing of hazardous materials in accordance with IATA and CFR regulations (if applicable).

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
Experience in freight operations, preferably with a strong focus on air freight.
Familiarity with global air freight movement, carriers, and basic export/import processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
CargoWise experience is a plus.
