Purpose of the Job

The purpose of this role is to lead the development and implementation of effective strategies and plans that promote the long-term sustainability of the depots in Queensland and the broader Aramex Australia network. This includes driving sales, improving services, and ensuring operational excellence to meet or exceed budget and other business metrics. Additionally, the State Manager is responsible for fostering a high-performance culture that prioritizes workplace health and safety (WHS), regulatory and franchise compliance. Overall, the State Manager will be responsible for driving the success of Aramex Queensland depots by promoting innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Job Description

• Develop and implement strategies, initiatives, and plans towards achieving long-term strategic objectives and sustainability for the depots

• Meet or exceed the agreed annual budget for the respective depots

• Ensure compliance with franchise manuals and regulatory standards

• Maintain high-quality service performance and compliance with company standards

• Drive franchise recruitment

• Collaborate with the Regional Commercial Director – Oceania to drive sales and build key customer relationships across the network

• Focus on process improvements and automation to enhance operational excellence within the depots

• Plan and manage resources effectively across the depots to drive overall profitability of the business

• Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including regional franchisees, customers, courier franchisees, and suppliers

• Promote a high-performance culture with a strong focus on employee engagement and retention

• Champion a strong safety culture, including regular safety checks, incident management and reporting, and fatigue management

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, processes, legislation, and statutory requirements while delivering results with integrity
