Purpose of the Job

The Senior Vice President (SVP) holds a key leadership position within the company, overseeing various geographies and functions. The SVP professionally leads and oversees internal operations, helps build strong customer relationships, maximizes the company’s operating performance whilst collaborating with the other regions and the global office. They have a responsibility to drive the core values and mission of the company whilst at all times focusing on developing a positive culture within the organization. They are accountable for delivering the financial goals of their region whilst ensuring compliance and the well-being and safety of their teams.

Job Description

  • A member of the Global Management Team, preparing and presenting clear and professional updates on relevant developments.
  • Relevant updates to the Board as and when required.
  • Regional Market Insights and Strategy Development.
  • Direct relationships with key clients and suppliers across the region ensuring successful account management and account growth.
  • Execution of regional and global strategic initiatives.
  • Delivery of a region-specific strategy roadmap documenting clear revenue, market share, product and vertical targets that align with corporate strategy - Ownership of regional budget preparation in accordance with guidelines and timelines.
  • Tailored product and pricing strategy that is aligned with corporate strategy, to ensure sales growth, customer acquisition and customer retention.
  • Drive regional communication in a way that delivers high performance and fosters collaboration.
  • P&L management and financial accountability.
  • Achievement of regional profitability targets with adherence to budgetary requirements and guidelines.
  • Proactive development of contingency plans to address under performance if any.
  • Regional alignment with regular communication to ensure seamless alignment of product strategy execution, normalization of ways of work and knowledge sharing.
  • Regular communication with other regions as well as the central team.
  • Build a strong, sustainable and engaging culture.
  • Entrusted with the responsibility to make high-impact decisions in which they need to always act in the best interests of the business.
  • Maintain and strive to enhance the Aramex image and brand.
  • Continuously work to enhance Aramex’s relations with customers, public and governmental officials, suppliers, airlines, etc.
  • Ensure legal compliance (for example, employment and labor laws, corporate governance, environmental regulations, intellectual property laws, and data protection and privacy laws) in order to protect the business and maintain its integrity Job Description.
  • Uphold and enforce Aramex Global and Local Policies and Procedures in all aspects of the business cycle.
  • Ensure responsible undertaking of directorship responsibilities associated with the role.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

  • Experience in a managerial or executive role in this industry.
  • Strong experience in project management and budgeting. 
  • Great understanding of business functions.
  • Demonstrable ability and proven track record in strategy-building and implementation.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics. 
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Degree and or experience in Business Management or relevant field
