Purpose of the Job

The purpose of this role is to lead, govern, and continuously improve last-mile operational performance across multiple markets by translating strategic objectives into executable, data-driven operational models, designing incentive schemes, as well as leading crowdsourcing product.

This role ensures productivity, cost efficiency, and service reliability by working on territory optimization, network optimization, performance governance, operational standardization, incentive schemes and financial analysis.

Job Description

Last Mile Optimization: 

  • Own tactical and territory optimization, courier route planning, and workload balancing across stations.
  • Translate strategic objectives into executable operational plans at the city and country levels, station and site visits to evaluate the situation and set action plans.
  • Balance cost efficiency, service levels, and operational risk when making trade-off decisions.
  • Design scalable operational models considering peak demand, seasonality, and local constraints.
  • Network optimization and hubs planning, heat mapping and branch location selection.

Incentives and Financial Analysis Tracking:

  • Design and govern incentive frameworks to drive courier productivity, service quality, and reliability across last-mile operations.
  • Design courier rates, expected income, and targets tailored by city, route density, and courier type.
  • Analyze courier income profiles to ensure stability and Incentives ROI.
  • Crowdsource rates price models that balance supply, fulfilment and load stability.
  • Adjust rates dynamically to support peak demand, low-density routes, or strategic markets.
  • Working on psychological incentives like gamification and wall of fame.

Systems and Reporting:

  • Serve as the primary operational interface between central functions (Technology, Finance, Analytics) and country operations.
  • Lead the adoption of AI-enabled tools to improve performance monitoring, feedback analysis, and decision quality.
  • Creating dashboards with solid data analysis capabilities; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel is a plus.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • support Operations Managers, supervisors, and analysts in data-driven decision making and structured problem solving.
  • Strategic and tactical thinker with the ability to design and implement incentive strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Monitor performance trends and lead root-cause analysis for productivity, service, and cost deviations.
  • Support talent development and succession planning by building capable second-line leaders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong monitoring, evaluation, and follow-up skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • +5 years of relevant experience in operations and planning.
  • Basic experience analyzing data sets, forecasting demand, or supporting planning activities.
  • Familiarity with logistics networks, including First-Mile, Middle-Mile, Last-Mile, and Linehaul operations.
  • Exposure to cost control and financial analysis.
