Purpose of the Job
The role of a Key Account Manager is critical for maintaining and growing revenue streams from key clients while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. Effective communication, strategic planning, and strong relationship-building skills are essential for success in this role.
Job Description
Hybrid: Sales (50%)
- Identify and qualify new leads through outbound calls, emails, and networking.
- Present and promote products/services to prospective clients.
- Build strong sales pipelines and meet monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop targeted campaigns.
- Prepare and deliver proposals and quotes.
Customer Retention (50%)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for existing customers.
- Understand client needs and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address concerns.
- Develop tailored solutions to improve customer engagement and retention.
- Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews with clients.
- Track and analyze retention metrics and provide regular reports.
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
Minimum requirement is a Matric (Grade 12) qualification.- Bachelor’s degree or similar qualification and/or experience
- 3 years corporate experience in managing a portfolio of clients (if senior position 5 years)
- Need to have worked for reputable corporates.
- Proven track record of having made target.
- Industry experience advantageous – Understanding of full supply chain (Freight, international & Warehousing products)
- Experience in presentation and negotiation of business solutions at senior management level.
- Valid code 08 drivers license and own reliable transport.
- Excellent communication skills.
