Job Description
- Member of the Market Management Team, presenting updates on developments to the Senior Vice President.
- Market Insights and Strategy Development.
- Direct relationships with key clients and suppliers across the region ensuring successful account management and account growth
- Execution of market and regional strategic initiatives.
- Deliver a strategy roadmap with clear targets for revenue, market share, products, and verticals aligned with corporate strategy.
- Ownership of market budget preparation in accordance with guidelines and timelines.
- Develop product and pricing strategies aligned with corporate goals to drive sales, acquisition, and retention.
- Drive regional communication in a way that delivers high performance and fosters collaboration.
- P&L management and financial accountability.
- Achievement of market profitability targets with adherence to budgetary requirements and guidelines.
- Proactive development of contingency plans to address under performance if any.
- Ensure seamless product strategy execution and knowledge sharing through regular communication.
- Regular communication with other markets within the region and or across regions as well as the central team.
- Build a strong, sustainable and engaging culture.
- Responsible for making high-impact decisions in the best interests of the business.
- Maintain and strive to enhance the Aramex image and brand.
- Continuously work to enhance Aramex’s relations with customers, public and governmental officials, suppliers, airlines, etc.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations to protect the business and maintain integrity.
- Uphold and enforce Aramex Global and Local Policies and Procedures in all aspects of the business cycle.
- Ensure responsible undertaking of directorship responsibilities associated with the role.
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is mandatory.
- Master’s degree (MBA) or a Postgraduate qualification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Strategic Management, or International Business is preferred.
Professional Experience in Express, Freight, and Logistics:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the logistics, express, or freight industry, including roles in operations management, supply chain optimization, and business development.
- Proven track record in scaling logistics operations, managing complex supply chains, and driving strategic growth initiatives in a competitive market.
- Extensive experience in international freight forwarding, including air, sea, and land transport management, customs clearance, and cross-border logistics.
Leadership and Managerial Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership or general management role within a logistics or freight-forwarding organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, geographically dispersed teams, fostering a high-performance culture and strategic collaboration.
- Proven success in high-impact decision-making, strategic influence, and navigating industry challenges (e.g., capacity constraints, regulatory changes, and economic volatility).
Industry and Market Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of express delivery networks, freight forwarding solutions, and supply chain management best practice
- Familiarity with e-commerce logistics, omnichannel fulfillment, and reverse logistics processes.
- Understanding of global trade compliance, international shipping regulations, and customs brokerage requirements.
