Purpose of the Job

As D&T Planning Manager for technology services, you will own the planning cycle and roll up your sleeves when execution begins. You’ll bring into line demand, capacity, cost, and quality across ITOPS, Network, Platform, DevOps, Modern Workplace (MWP), IT Security, and RPA—while stepping in to help the teams ship, fix, or automate when extra muscle is required.

You will also be accountable for technology services major initiatives from strategic, financial, planning, and quality perspectives.

The overall purpose of this role is to:

  • Develop and carry out planning strategies for technology services projects globally.
  • Align business goals with technology services projects to improve efficiency, system reliability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build data-driven plans and top-notch documentation for key technology services initiatives.
  • Translates business requirements into technical action plans and communicate them to stakeholders fluently.
  • Assist technology services function heads with pain points within their territory.
  • Act as the main link between technology services and other teams.

Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Job Description

Operation:

  • Align business goals with D&T technology services initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead project planning and execution for key initiatives within the technology service/infrastructure team.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Responsible for the overall definition and management of the technology services strategy, working with D&T teams and business divisions to ensure alignment.
  • Plan tracking and reporting – continually monitor progress against the plan; refine the plan to meet changing business requirements; report to project, program, and portfolio steering & governance committees.
  • Track SLAs/SLOs, analyze incidents and change requests, and circulate a “service health” scorecard each month.
  • Manage and update infrastructure assets catalogs and keep track of their utilization and performance.
  • Manage internal collaboration tools and keep them up to date.
  • Manage FinOps for infrastructure pillars (cloud computing, application infra cost, back, DR, etc.)

    Customer:

    • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to senior management and other stakeholders.
    • Act as the primary liaison between technology services team and other teams
    • Ensure all planning activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

    People:

    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure the availability of necessary resources and support.
    • Resource management and forecasting.

     

    Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Optimize resource allocation to maximize productivity and achieve project goals.
    • Collaborate closely with other teams within the D&T Department (Database, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Development, Support, Product) to ensure alignment and effective project delivery.
    • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders (Finance, Procurement, Operations, Legal, Compliance, etc.) and technical teams to facilitate understanding and implementation of requirements.

     

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Build prioritization and escalation matrix suitable for technology services initiatives in nature and SLAs.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the technology services function, promoting innovation and efficiency.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in IT project management.
    • Establish FinOps cultural approach and operational framework within technology services pillars.
    • Build dashboards that track progress from multiple perspectives (pre-implementation, post-implementation, value proposition, manhour utilization, etc.)

     

    Financial Result:

    • Support the development of IT budgets and forecasts (strategic, operational, project, risk) to align with financial objectives.
    Cost optimization, investment prioritization, and financial health indicators for infrastructure components.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Industrial Engineer, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 9+ years of experience in strategic planning, project management, or a similar role in the technology sector.
  • Solid understanding of Infrastructure components (Network, Data centers (servers, cloud platform –AWS, AZR, OCI-), ITOPS, DevOps, IT Security, Identity Management)
  • At least +2 years in infrastructure technical role, and +2 years in a managerial role.
  • PMP, TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT or similar certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
