Purpose of the Job

Head of D&T Governance and Methods mission is to establish a robust IT governance frameworks and select and standardize the methodologies for Digital and Technology, aligning them with organizational goals, regulatory mandates, and industry best practices. This role aims to position the organization as a cornerstone of IT governance excellence, catalyzing innovation, bolstering efficiency, and adeptly managing risks through the strategic application of methodologies and frameworks.

The overall purpose of this role is to: Managing the development and implementation of governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices within an organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Additionally, it involves the enhancement of methodologies and frameworks related to IT governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC), while optimizing and ensuring the effectiveness of specific IT processes within the organization

Job Description

Governance:

• Develop and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures in alignment with Industry standards and COBIT.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement IT governance structures.

• Lead the development and implementation of methodologies for IT processes.

• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of IT governance processes and recommend improvements if needed.

Methods:

• Research industry best practices and standards to inform the development of methodologies.

• Design and document procedural frameworks, guidelines, and standards for IT processes.

• Design and implement the training in appropriate governance and methods.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback for methodology improvement.

• Stay updated with emerging trends and changes in regulations to adapt methodologies accordingly.

• Build compliance reporting mechanisms to adoption of these methods.

Process:

• Map out existing IT processes and identify areas for improvement.

• Analyze process performance metrics and identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.

• Recommend and implement process enhancements. 

• Monitor and track process performance to ensure compliance with organizational objectives and COBIT principles.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

• A university degree in Management Information Systems, computer Science or related field is essential.

• minimum 10 - 12 years background in IT with proven experience (4-5 years) in developing and implementing IT governance frameworks and IT methodologies.

• Strong understanding of IT Governance, processes, and methodologies

• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Proficiency in project management tools and software.

• Experience with IT performance management frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT).

• Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, including conflict resolution skills.
