Purpose of the Job

As a D&T Associate Business Analyst Manager, you will play a critical role in leading and managing business analysis activities. You will oversee a team of Business Analysts, ensuring the effective gathering, analysis, and documentation of business requirements. You will work closely with stakeholders to align project goals with business objectives, drive process improvements, and ensure successful project delivery. This role combines strategic thinking, leadership, and hands-on analysis to support the organization's digital and technological initiatives.

The overall purpose of this role is to:

  • Supervise the collection, documentation, and prioritization of business requirements.
  • Ensure requirements are clear, concise, and match project goals.
  • Provide strategic guidance for business analysis activities.
  • Work with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities.
  • Assess different solutions and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead and support a team of Business Analysts, offering guidance and mentorship.

Job Description

Operation:

  • Oversee the elicitation, documentation, and prioritization of business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Ensure that requirements are clear, concise, and aligned with project objectives and organizational goals.
  • Produce related project documents and artifacts and ensure they are shared with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Draft user stories, prioritize, and manage the project backlog.
  • Oversee and review documented system functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Provide strategic direction for business analysis activities, aligning them with departmental and organizational goals.
  • Review documented system functional and non-functional requirements.

Customer:

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including senior management and department heads, to understand business needs and priorities.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements, resolve issues, and align expectations.
  • Conduct regular review meetings to elicit feedback on implemented changes.
  • Assist in drafting project plans, ensuring they are up to date and communicated with relevant stakeholders.
  • Present recommendations to senior management and gain buy-in for proposed solutions.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients through clear communication and reliable support.

People:

  • Collaborate with the Technical Solutions Manager and Technical Solutions Head to create the technical solution design.
  • Evaluate alternative solutions, considering risks, benefits, and impacts on business operations.
  • Oversee the creation of detailed documentation outlining solution designs, implementation plans, and project timelines.
  • Follow up with the technical project team to ensure the project is progressing as planned, flag any risks, and clarify ambiguities.
  • Participate in solution roll-out and implementation when needed which includes traveling on site.
  • Lead and manage a team of Business Analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, promoting continuous learning and development.
  • Recognize and celebrate achievements, fostering a culture of appreciation and recognition.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with other teams within the Digital and Tech Department (UX/UI, Architecture, Development, Support, QA) to ensure alignment and effective project delivery.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to facilitate understanding and implementation of requirements.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Business Analysis function, promoting innovation and efficiency.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in business analysis and project management.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • +7 years of experience in experience in business analysis, with demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects and initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of business processes and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies.
