Overview of the Role: The role of an Air Transport Operator is to deliver daily tasks in line with requirements, to enhance the service supplied to our customers.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Negotiate rates with airlines.
  2. Booking freight movements with airlines and partners
  3. Processing Airwaybills
  4. Communicate with clients, customers and partner Aramex stations
  5. Tracking and monitoring shipments
  6. Maintaining an acceptable level of Customer Service/GCS performance
  7. Investigation of missing shipments and resolution of issues
  8. Analysis of late shipment reports and keeping clients and direct manager updated
  9. Arranging collections
  10. Quoting for clients and partner Aramex stations
  11. Update and maintain internal Aramex system in accordance with company standards
  12. Assisting senior staff members with daily tasks
  13. Too be involved with any task that may be required by management to improve the utilisation or service improvements of the operation
  14. General housekeeping duties, ensuring cleanliness of the office and facility

 

Key Experience:

  1. Proven experience of working in a similar role
  2. Numerate and Literate
  3. Excellent proficiency with a Computer
  4. Proven experience of using database systems
  5. Willing and able to work flexible shift patterns including weekends and overtime as required
  6. Excellent attention to detail
  7. Proven Customer Service experience
  8. Knowledge of health and safety rules
  9. Self-motivated with good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  10. Ability to speak and write in English an advantage
  11. To cover shifts at times of high volume (E.g. peak periods)

 

Other Requirements:

  1. In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the post-holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Company from time to time.  Subject to adequate experience and/or training
  2. To participate in the annual performance appraisal and objective setting scheme
  3. To work in accordance with all company policies including Health and Safety, Employment, Staff, Quality and Environmental
