About the Role

Aramex Wellington has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Regional Operations Manager to lead our regional operations and drive performance across our depot, delivery network and Courier Franchisee community.

As the Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a high performing operational team, ensuring exceptional service delivery, driving continuous improvement and supporting the ongoing growth and profitability of the Wellington business.

This is a hands on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, enjoys developing people and has a strong focus on achieving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, coach and develop depot teams, company drivers and Courier Franchisees to achieve operational and business objectives.

  • Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring service standards, delivery performance and customer expectations are consistently achieved.

  • Drive operational improvements through effective management of KPIs, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Build strong relationships with Courier Franchisees, providing support, guidance and accountability to achieve business outcomes.

  • Manage operational costs, resources and budgets to support branch profitability.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

  • Manage operational challenges, customer issues and performance matters with a solutions-focused approach.

To be successful in this role:

  • You will have proven experience in operations management, logistics, transport or a similar fast paced environment.

  • You will have demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing diverse teams.

  • You will have strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, costs and performance outcomes.

  • You will have excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees, contractors and stakeholders.

  • You will be proactive, organised and comfortable making decisions in a dynamic operational environment.

  • You will have a strong understanding of health and safety requirements and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
