Purpose of the Job
As the Senior Fleet Manager your role will be to oversee, lead and manage all operational activities on site including management of the fleet manager team, freight sorters, AM Courier loading, outside hire and contractor management, Courier Franchisee remuneration, New Courier Franchisee training and management, GCCD compliance, pickup performance of couriers managed, aged freight rotation and always ensuring Site Safety and compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Workplace Health, Safety & Environment (WHSE)
• Ensure all WHS policies and procedures are adhered to always.
• Actively promote and ensure a safe environment is maintained always.
• Provide monthly Safety toolbox meetings.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a safe workplace.
• Regularly check your employees and contractor's wellbeing "RU OK".
Training & Development requirements:
• Ensure all sortation contractors, couriers and employees are adequately trained and familiar
with site and company WHS requirements including Safe Operating Procedures and work
instructions.
• Actively engage in inducting/training new courier franchises and developing existing CFs.
• Use ongoing "best practice" training methods to evolve skill development to keep training
relevant and purposeful to minimize errors to continually enhance business performance.
• Develop leadership skills of current and potential leaders to provide pathways development for
employees.
Operational Excellence requirements:
• Implement and reinforce "best practice" systems and procedures to continually improve
business unit performance resulting in higher productivity through efficiency, and reduced
errors through feedback, monitoring and reporting.
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
- Minimum 2 years of management or team leadership role in fleet, transport, or logistics operations
- Demonstrated success in managing large teams in a fast-paced operational environment
- Well-developed influencing skills. • Competent computer skills. • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all business levels.
- Managing performance of people to targets.
- Identify and communicate areas for improvement and implementation.
- Knowledge of routing, fleet optimization, and resource planning systems (preferred)
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline (preferred)
