About the Role
Aramex Nelson has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Regional Operations Manager to lead our operations and drive excellence across the region.
As the Regional Operations Manager, you’ll oversee all operational functions including the performance and engagement of company-employed drivers, depot staff, and Courier Franchisees. You’ll ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement while fostering a high-performing and safety-driven workplace culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strong leadership and direction to all operations staff and Courier Franchisees
- Developing and implementing business plans that achieve regional performance targets
- Managing operational budgets, costs, and reporting
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies, H&S legislation, and franchise agreements
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and service delivery
- Managing freight flow, service performance, and customer satisfaction
- Overseeing vehicle maintenance, depot presentation, and brand compliance
- Leading operational safety as the Group Safety Officer for the region
To be successful in this role:
- You’ll be a confident and experienced leader with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams
- You’ll have proven experience managing large-scale operations or logistics teams
- You’ll demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- You’ll be results-driven, customer-focused, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- You’ll have a hands-on approach, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to think strategically
- 3-4 years of experience in Operations management in logistics, Last Mile Innovation, Ground Operations.
