General Manager - US & Canada
Purpose of the Job
The General Manager holds a key leadership position within the company, overseeing either a key country or cluster of countries. The General Manager professionally leads and oversees internal operations, helps build strong customer relationships, maximizes the company’s operating performance whilst collaborating with the other markets within and outside of the region. They have a responsibility to drive the core values and mission of the company whilst at all times focusing on developing a positive culture within the organization. They are accountable for delivering the financial goals of their country or countries cluster whilst ensuring compliance and the well-being and safety of their teams.
Job Description
- A member of the Market Management Team, preparing and presenting clear and professional updates on relevant developments to the Senior Vice President.
- Market Insights and Strategy Development.
- Direct relationships with key clients and suppliers across the region ensuring successful account management and account growth.
- Execution of market and regional strategic initiatives.
- Delivery of a market-specific strategy roadmap documenting clear revenue, market share, product and vertical targets that align with corporate strategy.
- Ownership of market budget preparation in accordance with guidelines and timelines.
- Tailored product and pricing strategy that is aligned with corporate strategy, to ensure sales growth, customer acquisition and customer retention
- Drive regional communication in a way that delivers high performance and fosters collaboration.
- P&L management and financial accountability.
- Achievement of market profitability targets with adherence to budgetary requirements and guidelines.
- Proactive development of contingency plans to address under performance if any.
- Market alignment with regular communication to ensure seamless alignment of product strategy execution, normalization of ways of work and knowledge sharing.
- Regular communication with other markets within the region and or across regions as well as the central team

- Entrusted with the responsibility to make high-impact decisions in which they need to always act in the best interests of the business - Maintain and strive to enhance the Aramex image and brand.

- Uphold and enforce Aramex Global and Local Policies and Procedures in all aspects of the business cycle.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education
- Minimum 10 years of experience within a management role
- Degree and or similar qualification in relation to Business, Commerce or other.
- Ability to influence at a senior level, both internally and externally.
