Purpose

The Commercial Head – NA Cluster will lead the commercial strategy across the both US & Canada, driving profitable revenue growth via strategic customer management, and ensuring sales operational excellence. The role demands an individual with strong leadership skills and understanding of supply chain and the Aramex Value Proposition, the ability to champion organization culture whilst focusing on strategic business development and both challenging and then driving sales force efficiencies. This person will work closely with multiple teams, including Country Management, the Regional Commercial Teams in the other regions and key global stakeholders such as the Global Commercial Team (MNC, Tenders, Trade Lanes and Sales Development) and Product.

Job Responsibilities 

 
 
  • Aramex Value Proposition and Solution Sales: Ensure that a deep understanding of the customers’ end to end supply chain is mapped and communicated so that Aramex can develop solutions to become the supplier of choice.
  • Strategic Leadership & Growth: Develop and execute the regional commercial strategy, ensuring alignment with global and local business objectives. Supports and facilitates the commercial team to drive revenue growth, market penetration, and profitability across multiple markets.
  • Global Sales Development & Sales Force Efficiencies: Aligns with the Global Sales Development Team and translates this at a regional level. Overseeing sales performance across the region, setting and monitoring KPIs, sales targets, and performance metrics.
  • Pricing: Lead pricing strategies along with Product Heads to optimize margins while ensuring competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Market Expansion and Product Development; work with country, regional and global product teams to identify market trends, competitive threats, products and solutions that can be enhanced and/or developed to capture relevant market opportunities.
  • Trade Lane Development; work with commercial and product teams both within own region and others to develop methodologies to grow profit and volumes on global and regional target lanes (and products).
  • Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and develop a high-performing team across sales, and commercial operations. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Customer & Partner Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders. Lead and support contract negotiations at regional level and with management and commercial teams at local level to ensure long-term client satisfaction and retention.
  • Financial Performance & Reporting: Support in budget development and manage regional budgets, forecasting, and P&L responsibilities. Provide regular commercial performance reports, analysis, and actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with customer services, product, operations, finance, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of commercial strategies and alignment of resources to maximize efficiency and impact.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all commercial activities comply with regional regulations, industry standards, and corporate governance. Identify and mitigate risks in business processes and client engagements.

 

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in a senior commercial or sales leadership role, with a proven track record in driving growth and managing regional operations.
  • Strong expertise in Freight, Express, and logistics services, with an understanding of both operational and commercial dynamics.
  • Proven experience in strategic account management and business development, particularly within multi-regional or global customer contexts.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute innovative commercial strategies that drive profitability and competitive advantage.
  • Solid financial acumen, including experience in budget management, P&L oversight, and revenue forecasting.
  • Expertise in managing and optimizing operational capacity to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Experience in managing and supporting tenders, proposal generation, and multi-regional partnerships.
