Tax Manager

Job Description

  • Reviewing and monitoring monthly tax computation including deferred tax calculations for each entity.
  • Updating management of the monthly ETR and supporting reporting team with PPT required for BOD.
  • Undertaking annual tax compliance (corporate tax return, TP Disclosure forms, Master files, Local files, CbC Notification and CbC Report, Economic Substance Reporting, FATCA/CSR) for each entity within the due date, as applicable.
  • Managing tax audits and liaising with tax consultants and Aramex local team.
  • Ability to read / understand tax avoidance agreements.
  • Undertaking WHT analysis on inter-company recharges and applying for tax refunds, if required. 
  • Applying for Tax Residency certificates for the UAE entities as per requirements.
  • Reviewing the Group structure and identifying areas of inefficiencies to improve the same.
  • Maintaining trackers for monthly, annual tax compliance, tax audits, tax losses etc. for the Group.
  • Reviewing Tenders / Contractual agreements and undertaking discussions with customers / vendors / Aramex legal team.
  • Assisting in cash management planning inter-alia including group debt management planning, undertaking hedge calculations etc.
  • Undertaking Segmental analysis for required entities.
  • Reviewing and monitoring Group Inter-company recharges on a monthly basis.
  • Undertaking Safe Harbor analysis for BEPS exposure on a monthly basis.
  • Undertaking other ad-hoc tax and transfer pricing assignments on need basis.
  • Keeping track on changing tax environment and updating the management on need basis.

Experience and Education

  • Education: Should be Chartered Accountant
  • Experience: Minimum 7-8 years of work experience including Big4 / MNCs
  • Skills:
    • Should have Microsoft application experience i.e., Excel, PowerPoint
    • ​​​​​​​Ability to co-ordinate with multiple people across Network
    • ​​​​​​​Ability to manage teams’ expectations.
