Tax Analyst

Purpose of the Job

The purpose of a Tax Analyst job is multifaceted, revolving around the management and optimization of an organization's tax-related activities, Overall, job is to ensure that the organization meets its tax obligations while optimizing its tax position in alignment with its strategic and financial objectives. By providing expert tax advice, managing tax compliance, and reporting requirements, and mitigating tax risks, Tax Analysts play a critical role in supporting the organization's financial health and sustainability.

Job Description

  • Assist with compliance on all tax matters including review and timely filing of CIT returns, Transfer pricing disclosure forms, tax audit enquiries, Local files inter-alia including liaising with finance team and tax advisers.
  • Prepare /review the Current and Deferred tax calculations
  • Understanding of Double Tax avoidance agreements and its application
  • Review the related party transactions, tax notes forming part of the Financial Statements prior to finalizing accounts.
  • Assist with compliance on Country by Country Reporting matters, including managing the timely filing of Country-by-Country notifications.
  • Assist with Economic Substance Reporting (ESR) and manage the filing of ESR notifications.
  • Assist with FATCA and CSR reporting.
  • Maintain status reports for all tax compliance requirements globally.
  • Manage and obtain Tax Residency certificates for countries where required to avail treaty benefits.
  • Assist in any other tax projects, as assigned.

Experience and Education

  • Fully Qualified Chartered Accountant / Semi Qualified Chartered Accountant / Similar work experience
  • International tax exposure and experience in corporate tax compliance as well as able to read, understand and review legal tenders/ documents.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and communication skills
