Purpose of the Job

The Treasury Manager – Global Operations, Governance & Transformation is responsible for strengthening treasury governance, banking infrastructure, liquidity controls, and operational effectiveness across the group’s global entities.

The role manages key treasury activities including bank account rationalization, bank mandates, Know Your Customer requirements, authorized signatory governance, guarantee facilities, corporate guarantees, payment gateways, treasury controls, and subsidiary treasury health assessments.

The Treasury Manager acts as a central point of coordination between Group Treasury, subsidiaries, banks, legal teams, finance, tax, compliance, internal audit, external audit, IT, procurement, and senior management.

A major focus of the role is to simplify and standardize treasury processes, reduce banking complexity, improve control and visibility, digitize manual activities, and ensure that subsidiaries operate in accordance with group treasury policies and minimum control standards.

Job Description

Global KYC Management

  • Manage and coordinate Know Your Customer requirements across the group’s global banking relationships.
  • Act as the central point of contact for bank KYC requests, periodic reviews, and remediation exercises.
  • Maintain a comprehensive global KYC calendar covering renewal dates, submission deadlines, and outstanding actions.
  • Maintain secure records of all submitted KYC documentation and bank correspondence.
  • Identify opportunities to digitize KYC workflows and automate document expiry notifications.

Bank Account Rationalization

  • Lead periodic reviews of the group’s global bank account structure.
  • Maintain a complete inventory of bank accounts by entity, country, bank, currency, purpose, status, and authorized signatory.
  • Review the use of local accounts versus regional or global cash-management structures.
  • Prepare business cases showing cost savings, control improvements, and operational benefits from rationalization.

Bank Mandates and Authorized Signatory Governance

  • Own and maintain the group’s global bank mandate framework.
  • Ensure bank mandates remain aligned with approved delegation-of-authority policies.
  • Coordinate the appointment, removal, and amendment of authorized signatories.
  • Verify that bank portal entitlements match formally approved mandates.

Bank Relationship Management

  • Maintain effective working relationships with global, regional, and local banking partners.
  • Monitor bank service quality, turnaround times, issue resolution, and responsiveness.

Central Guarantee Facilities

  • Support the establishment, management, and optimization of central guarantee facilities.
  • Maintain an inventory of bank guarantees, standby letters of credit, performance guarantees, bid bonds, advance payment guarantees, customs guarantees, rental guarantees, and other contingent instruments.

Payment Gateways and Banking Technology

  • Support the governance and optimization of payment gateways, online banking platforms, treasury systems, and bank connectivity solutions.
  • Act as a key treasury contact for payment-technology initiatives.
  • Coordinate with IT, Information Security, ERP teams, banks, and payment service providers.
  • Assess payment gateways for functionality, security, integration, scalability, cost, and geographic coverage.

Treasury Process Improvement

  • Review treasury processes across subsidiaries and identify inefficiencies, duplication, and control weaknesses.
  • Develop standardized group treasury procedures and minimum operating standards.
  • Map current-state and future-state treasury processes

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Business Administration, Economics, Banking, Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications are advantageous, including Certified Treasury Professional, Association of Corporate Treasurers qualification, CFA, ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIMA, ITIL or Project Management certification.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in corporate treasury, banking operations, finance transformation, treasury systems, or cash management.
  • At least 2–4 years in a supervisory, managerial, or regional coordination role.
  • Experience working within a multinational or geographically dispersed organization.
  • Strong experience managing global KYC requirements and bank documentation.
