Purpose of the Job
The Tax Analyst’s role is to support the Group's tax compliance, reporting, and international tax activities across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will work closely with finance teams, external advisors, and key stakeholders to ensure compliance with corporate tax requirements, transfer pricing regulations, and global tax reporting obligations.
Job Description
Corporate Tax Compliance & Reporting
- Support the preparation, review, and timely filing of corporate income tax returns and related tax disclosures.
- Assist with tax audits, tax authority inquiries, and communications with external tax advisors.
- Prepare and review current and deferred tax calculations in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Monitor global tax compliance requirements and maintain compliance trackers across jurisdictions.
- Support the preparation and review of tax-related disclosures for statutory financial statements.
International Tax & Transfer Pricing
- Assist in managing international tax matters, including cross-border transactions and treaty-related issues.
- Support transfer pricing compliance requirements, including local files, disclosure forms, and related documentation.
- Review intercompany transactions to ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Assist with Effective Tax Rate (ETR) analysis and tax planning initiatives.
- Apply and interpret Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements (DTAA) and other international tax regulations.
Global Tax Reporting & Regulatory Compliance
- Support Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) compliance and related notification filings.
- Assist in managing Economic Substance Reporting (ESR) requirements and filings.
- Support FATCA and other regulatory reporting obligations, as applicable.
- Coordinate the procurement and maintenance of Tax Residency Certificates (TRCs) to facilitate treaty benefits and withholding tax compliance.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in global tax initiatives, process improvement projects, and automation opportunities.
- Assist in implementing best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of tax compliance processes.
- Provide analytical and administrative support for ad hoc tax projects and strategic initiatives.
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
- Chartered Accountant (CA), Semi-Qualified CA, or equivalent accounting/tax qualification.
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate tax, international taxation, transfer pricing, or tax compliance.
- Experience working with multinational organizations or tax advisory firms will be an advantage.
- Exposure to international tax regulations, transfer pricing, and tax reporting requirements is preferred.
- Understanding of DTAA provisions and cross-border tax concepts.
- Strong knowledge of corporate taxation and tax compliance processes.
- Advanced MS Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities.
- Ability to interpret and review legal, contractual, and tax-related documentation.
