Job Purpose

A Senior Business Analyst’s purpose is to maintain and leverage quality of service provided to customers, while ensuring operational optimization and process efficiency that would reflect positively on the customer experience. A Senior Business Analyst is to act as a proactive Support Function whereby the ownership to initiate and own certain projects is required.


There are three key aspects of a Senior Business Analyst’s role:


  1. Customer:
    1. Analyse external and internal customer’s specific requirements and include their requirements in company internal procedures and measures.
    2. Work closely with internal and external customers in applying improvement plans.
    3. Work closely with senior managers and their teams to create a culture of continuous improvement.
    4. Close monitoring to the KPIs and taking actions in co-ordination with operations and other teams to meet set targets.
    5. Help land/secure strategic accounts.
    6. Support operations in meeting customer requirements through scalable solutions


  1. Operations:
    1. Provide the operations leaders with timely, evidence-based analysis and reports to lead to improvements and operations efficiency.
    2. Support effective teams that draw upon expertise from across the station.
    3. Initiate, own, and ensure successful completion of projects that deliver operations efficiencies, meet identified needs and address challenges facing operations monthly.


  1. Financial results:
    1. Above three (3) aspects to positively affect Aramex’s over operating profit results.
    2. Take ownership to adopt Branches, Clients & Divisions to ensure this is maintained.
    3. Each project should generate a measurable ROI for the business.


Part of this role requires the ability to question and ‘disrupt’ the organisation. This may require moving around the different aspects of the company i.e. branches, departments, applying your knowledge gained in the solutions team to innovate, improve and sustain Aramex and its clients.



Key Responsibilities


  •  Implement and drive new projects within the business.
  • Client Services: Interaction with clients to provide full supply chain solutions by focusing on value added services.
  • Identify areas of improvement within the business area and by involving the necessary personnel with the relevant skills, proposing and executing the required solutions.
  • To provide instruction and guidance to other personnel within the Logistics team and company, and ultimately facilitating the achievement of goals.
  • Conduct and lead feasibility studies on various internal and external ventures.
  • Presentation of key findings to clients and the business.
  • Ensure the solutions team remains informed of the technologies and capabilities available in the market.
  • Keep EXCO informed of trends within the industry and business
  • Offer guidance and support to the Business Analysts and the Logistics team
  • Data Analysis and corrective action plan linked to deviations for SLA (National, customer, process).



On occasion, you may be required to perform tasks that might not form part of your normal daily duties but that may be necessary due to the operational needs of the business and your department.



Minimum Requirements


  • 2 years Business Analyst working Experience
  • Tertiary Education – B. Comm. Logistics (HONS) or equivalent Logistics post-graduate degree
  • Must have a proven track record of excellent results
  • Strong experience in presentation and facilitation of business solutions at management level
  • Valid Code 08 driver’s license and own reliable transport
  • Completion of Project Management Course (if not already completed)
  • Successful completion of Training & assigned projects in the Data Analytics Team.
