JOB PURPOSE:
The Logistics Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall supply chain management across 2 facilities in Houston including managing, organizing and monitoring the storage and distribution of goods. The Logistics Operations Manager will be responsible for the entire order cycle to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Direct and Manage a team of Operational colleagues.
- Manage the strategic and commercial relationship with the on-site Customer.
- Strategically plan and manage the logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services in conjunction with the department heads.
- Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers.
- Direct, manage and track the quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency of both facilities.
- Direct the arrangement of each warehouse, cataloging the goods, plan routes and process shipments.
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
- Coach and develop direct reports ensuring effective leadership and setting the example.
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets and SLA’s.
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven working experience as a Logistics Operations Manager.
- Proven experience of working in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
- Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.
- Proficient in standard logistics software.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
- BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Must have a collaborative and team player approach.
- Good ethics and integrity.
- Professional positive demeanor.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
SALARY: Between $90,000 - $120,000 dependent on experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the postholder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Station Manager/Vice President/CEO from time to time. Subject to adequate experience and/or training.
- To participate in the annual performance appraisal and objective setting scheme.
