JOB TITLE: Regional HR Director – North America.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Chief HR Officer, with dotted lines to VP – Americas and VP - MyUS.

MAIN LOCATION: Aramex  New York Ltd, 182-21 150th Ave, Queens, NY 11436. The postholder will be required to visit other sites for the satisfactory performance of their duties and responsibilities.

The Regional HR Director for North America will support the strategic growth plans for Aramex in the US and Canada, covering our sites in Houston, New York, California, Illinois, Florida and Ontario. This role will be on a full time, permanent basis, delivered on-site from our JFK office in Queens, reporting to the Chief HR Officer based in Dubai, with a dotted line to the VP for the Americas and to the VP for MyUS.  Regular travel to all locations will be required, along with occasional travel to the UAE.


The Regional HR Director is a trusted partner and agent of change for the business at large. Working across all aspects of the function’s remit, they will be responsible for the implementation and success of HR policies and initiatives within the region. They will be experienced, and results driven, with demonstrable commercial acumen, ensuring that the local and global HR strategy and agenda are aligned with regional and local business objectives and needs. The Regional HR Director will be innovative and suggest solutions that are commercially astute and consider our company’s culture. Working alongside the Leadership Team and employees alike, they will drive efficiencies and competencies to support and grow the organisations capabilities.



Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading, managing and developing the local HR team.
  • Consulting with relevant senior management and local HR teams on strategic and tactical human resources issues.
  • Implementing and monitoring the consistent application of Company Policies across the region.
  • Working closely with Senior Management and HR teams to drive Aramex culture across the region.
  • Developing internal communication materials and or initiatives to drive employee engagement.
  • Analysing HR trends and metrics, providing employee/people insights to drive decision making.
  • Providing analysis and recommendations in workforce planning and resourcing.
  • Driving the candidate experience, to promote the Aramex brand as an employer of choice.
  • Providing specialist advice and guidance in candidate selection, testing process and employment offers in line with policy.
  • Facilitating training needs analysis to build and implement the training plan.
  • Leading, managing, and co-ordinating talent management and succession planning processes.
  • Resolving complex employee relations issues and addressing grievances in line with company policy and local legislation.
  • Leading and driving the performance management process in alignment with company recognition and reward programs.
  • Reviewing and recommending on employees’ compensation and benefits plans where needed.
  • Managing the development and delivery of the local HR team’s annual performance management goals.
  • Suggesting new HR strategies.
  • Driving continuous improvement within areas of responsibility.
  • Working in partnership with a range of stakeholders including leadership team, HR Global team leads, trade unions (where applicable), employees and external partners.

  • 7 to 10 years Human Resources Management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Relevant majors: Human Resources/Industrial Psychology.
  • SHRM Accreditation.
  • Strong knowledge of local Labor Legislation.
  • Successful track record in managing of all aspects of HR Management including reward, resourcing, talent management, succession planning, change management and employee relations.
  • MS Office Skills: Word, Excel, Power Point.
