HSE Manager
Purpose of the Job
To promote a proactive Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) culture by assisting with the implementation and monitoring of core HSE programs/issues. Provides direction, assistance and training with all aspects of the HSE program and processes in a cost-effective manner.
Job Description
- Set goals with the direct manager for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates.
- Organize workflow with direct manager and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching within direct manger.
- Communicating HSE related aspects with customers, suppliers & Authorities (GACA, RAC, Customs, SFDA, Police etc.)
- Authorizing the permit-to-work for customers and contractors.
- Assisting the department on internal/external audits related to health and safety conducted by Clients.
- Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises.
- Evaluate the training needs based on the risk and incident in workplace.
- Planning the ERP plans/producers.
- Conducting annual fire drills to promote the employee's safety culture leadership.
Job Responsibilities - Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science/environmental engineering, Engineering, or related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in HSE role, including 5 years in a leadership position
- Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills.
- Good hands-on MS Office tools.
- Reporting and presentation skills.
- NEBOSH, or OSHA, or OSH Certified
- Administration background.
