Purpose of the Job

The IR Advisor will lead and manage strategic planning and management programs related to industrial relations and workplace relations matters, provide specialist expert advice, and develop IR policies and processes. They will also represent Aramex in industrial relations matters with all relevant stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develops and implements an effective industrial relations strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives including providing guidance and expertise on dispute resolution, disciplinary actions and investigations

  • Develops, reviews and updates industrial relations and workplace relations policies and processes

  • Collaborate with senior management to provide expert industrial advice, guidance and support for industrial relations matters

  • Represents Aramex in disputes, conciliation hearings, and in negotiations with unions on all industrial matters

  • Prepares accurate compliance reports and documentation related to industrial relations and workplace relations, ensuring timely and complete compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Develops and updates documentation and related training material; educating and upskilling management and stakeholders

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

To be successful in this role:

  • Solid experience in Employee/Industrial Relations in a large complex organisation, and experience in WHS (highly desirable)

  • Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to adapt style and approach to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders

  • Strong conflict resolution skills and a proven ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Proven ability to plan and prioritise work effectively in a dynamic work environment
