Senior Sea Freight Specialist

Purpose:
Ensure all shipments are delivered, booked with carriers and/or shipped according to Aramex freight operations quality and service standards.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
- Process quotation requests for Agents, Global oversea offices , Strategic and local accounts for Ocean Freight businesses (Export & Import )
- Communicate with Sales to get clarification or provide notifications of the pricing decisions
- Maintaining strong contacts with shipping lines for better rate negotiation and space allotment
- Day to Day Engagement - Receiving requests, issues management , updates to customer
- Maintaining rates from Trucking & Local Vendor
- Coordinate with Operations and other teams to prepare competitive proposal
- Ensure timely turnaround for all freight requests and contract renewals
- Monitor all win/ loss rate of pricing approved ,generating reports to analyze the price level for future quotation adjustment and decision
- Monitor Market price level and competitors rates movement
- Ensure that proper Corporate/ Region pricing procedures are implemented and operated
- Analyze and disseminate strategic information to ensure bid process effectiveness
- Maintain pricing history for the future or cross-functional partner reference
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in relevant field
- 4-6 years relevant working experience in pricing with a freight forwarder (Export Ocean freight Sector is a must )
- Good working knowledge in MS Office applications, especially MS Word and MS Excel. Knowledge in MS Access is a plus
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel intermediate to advance formulas and macros
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong coordination skills among various work groups and with different levels
- Good organizational and problem solving skills
- Proactive team player and able to work in a fast pace environment
- Flexibility to do overtime during certain time of the year.
