In this position, your role will be to model complex problems, discover insights and automate workflows through statistical analysis, machine learning, generative AI and data visualization techniques using state of the art big data & AI technologies. 

In this role, you shall work on a wide variety of problems such as:

• Using Generative AI for WhatsApp customer chatbot
• Building a chatbot app for internal corporate stakeholders using Large Language Models such as OpenAI GPT-4, Google Palm, Claude etc.
• Delivery sequencing and route optimization
• Address geocoding using deep learning.
• Incomplete address auto-completion using natural language processing
• Profiling and predictive analytics for customers, consignees, and shippers.

The role will cover the following areas of responsibility:
 

• Work under the guidance of senior Data Scientists to execute strategic keystone projects.
• Gain a thorough understanding and know-how of the on premise and cloud-based data warehouse and data lake.
• Continuously keeping updated with the latest AI and ML technologies.
• Extraction of relevant data from data warehouses such as AWS Redshift to be used for Data Science projects.
• Data cleaning and data imputation of unclean data.
• Performing a thorough exploratory data analysis and presenting results to relevant stakeholders for insight generation.
• Feature engineering relevant to the purpose of the Data Science problem.
• Create and evaluate data models using statistical, algorithmic, data mining, deep learning, visualization, and data matching techniques for data discovery and intelligent automation.
• Present and summarize modeling results and recommendations to business users and stakeholders in an understandable and relevant way, verbally and visually.
• Document and publish analyses, instructions, and code so others can replicate and learn from previous work.
• Educate the organization about approaches and analytical principles to support the organization in the application of novel data science and advanced analytical techniques.
• Lead or participate in development, testing and deployment of production-ready code.
• Prepare and present progress reports and results to stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be at least:
 

• Pursuing Bachelor’s in computer science, Operational Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or Natural Sciences or 1+ years of experience as a Data Scientist.
• Ability to write clean, documented production ready Python code.
• Most importantly an Inquisitive mind and the ability to independently ask questions, find answers, learn, and move things forward.
• Understanding of data analysis using the Pandas library.
• Knowledge of, and the ability to explain statistical and mathematical concepts and techniques for quantitative analysis.
• Supervised Machine Learning Algorithms like Logistic Regression, Bayesian Approach, Decision Trees, Support Vector Machines, Ensemble Methods, Feature selection techniques etc.

A few skills which would be good to have are:

• Demonstrable hands-on skills in using databases, manipulating datasets, data modeling, visualization.
• Understanding of advanced algorithms (i.e. Deep Learning) will be good to have.
• Understanding large language models and prompt engineering will be good to have.
• Good understanding of Unsupervised and Semi-supervised Machine Learning Algorithms
• Knowledge about optimization algorithms like Mathematical Programming (Linear/Non-linear techniques), Convex Optimization, Transportation Problem, Vehicle Routing Problem Simulated Annealing etc would be optional.
