Purpose of the Job

Warehouse Assistant role is to ensure the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of goods. This involves managing inventory, processing shipments, ensuring accurate stock levels, and supporting overall warehouse operations to maintain a smooth supply chain flow. The Warehouse Assistant also plays a key role in maintaining safety standards and ensuring the timely fulfillment of orders to meet customer and organizational demands

Job Description

• Manage inventory by tracking stock levels and performing regular stock counts.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Organize and maintain the warehouse, ensuring goods are properly labeled and stored.
• supervision in onloading and offloading trucks and containers.
• Maintain accurate records of goods received, transferred, and dispatched.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing products for quality control, reporting any discrepancies.
• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with procurement, shipping, and other departments for smooth operations.
• Operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
• Receive and process incoming stock, including offloading and verifying deliveries.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, such as cold storage or non-climate-controlled environments.
• Commitment to continuous learning and following updates to warehouse procedures and technology.
