The Senior Freight Business Performance Leader is responsible for driving the performance and efficiency of the freight operations within the organization. This role focuses on analyzing business metrics, optimizing operational processes, and implementing strategies to enhance service quality and profitability in the freight sector.
Job Description
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to freight operations, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize freight operations, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives of the organization.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within freight operations, implementing best practices to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Oversee budgetary processes for freight operations, analyzing financial data to drive profitability and manage expenses effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and logistics, to ensure seamless integration of freight services and alignment with customer needs.
- Engage with key customers to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring that freight services meet or exceed customer satisfaction levels.
- Lead and mentor the freight operations team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement in freight operations.
- Ensure that all freight operations comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, maintaining high levels of safety and service quality.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and competitive landscape in the freight industry, leveraging insights to inform business strategies.
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in freight operations, logistics management, or business performance analysis, with a proven track record of driving operational improvements
- Proven track record of successfully managing freight products.
- Proficient in freight management software and Microsoft Office applications.
