Purpose of the Job
The Project Manager under Contract Logistics will lead the planning, design, and execution of major construction and expansion projects within Aramex’s global logistics network. This role focuses on the design and construction of new warehouses, facility expansions, racking systems, multi-tier shelving systems and automation systems ensuring that all projects meet operational requirements, safety standards, and budgetary targets.
The role requires a seasoned project leader with a civil engineering background, extensive construction experience, and the ability to align large-scale capital projects with Aramex’s long-term logistics strategy.
Job Description
Project Leadership:
• Lead end-to-end construction projects, including new facility builds, warehouse expansions, multi-tier shelving systems installations, and racking system designs.
• Oversee large CAPEX projects from feasibility to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Planning & Design:
• Develop project frameworks, charters, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design and construction excellence.
• Integrate logistics operational requirements into facility design, including racking layouts and workflow optimization.
Execution & Governance:
• Manage multiple projects across geographies within defined timelines and budgets.
• Monitor dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans, escalating issues as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Prepare progress report to senior management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with logistics operations, FM, HSE, PMO, and Finance teams to align technical solutions with operational needs.
• Drive change management and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
Performance & Continuous Improvement:
• Track and report benefits realization, project ROI, and business impact.
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• 10+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably within logistics, warehousing, or industrial facilities.
• Proven track record in leading large-scale construction and expansion projects, including racking systems and mezzanine design.
• PMP or equivalent certification required.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to manage multimillion-dollar CAPEX budgets.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Jira, Asana) and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple high-impact projects in fast-paced, global environments.
