Logistics Operations Manager

Job Description :

 

 Coordinates all activities within the station’s warehouse(s) with multiple projects to meet
project deadlines and targets.
 Coordinates all activities and communication between the logistics department and other
departments in Aramex where needed. (Freight, Clearance, Domestic, Express...).
 Coordinates with the Logistics Product Manager on setting SLAs for new clients to come up
with the best solution for the customer & the company.
 Schedules, directs and coordinates logistics functions according to existing documented
policies and procedures to ensure they are in place and followed.
 Recommends and ensures the implementation of changes and enhancements as
necessary.
 Responsible for the solution creation and implementation for special requirement logistics
projects.
 Follow up on quality audit results’ action items to make sure they are properly logged and
worked on as planned.
 Issues customers invoices each month according to the published procedures.
 Performs the responsibilities of the logistics supervisor when necessary.
 Ensures technology is properly and fully utilized to achieve the full benefit to the customer
and the company.
 Gathers technical requirements from both customer projects and warehouse daily
operations and communicates with the GSO or station IT to make sure they are delivered.
 Performs software testing to accept new features or changes.
 Authorizes and specifies OptiLog/SSA access levels for each employee to ensure each user
has his proper access level.
 Oversees the requests and acquisition of storage systems, warehouse equipment, and
other materials including designs, comparing offers and implementation work to make
sure the right equipment are available at the right price.
 Makes sure maintenance agreements are in place for all machines/equipment and makes
sure maintenance is done regularly.
 Assists and trains personnel in the use of warehouse systems and the processing of work
orders.
 Trains personnel on logistics procedures published under the DQMS.
 Trains personnel on customized logistics procedures & requirements for new customers.
 Establishes Safety and Security awareness among the logistics team to promote a safe
and secure environment.

 Works closely with the warehouse team in their day to day operation.
 Work is mostly within a warehousing facility.

 

Basic/ Job Requirements :

 

 

  • University Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Engineering
  • 6+ years of experience within the field in a 3PL company
  • Proven experience as a Supply Chain Leader, Warehouse Manager or similar role
  • Candidate must possess advanced English communication skills, verbal and written
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and warehouse management systems preferably INFOR
  • P&L understanding
  • Financial reporting
  • Experience in costing and building cost models
  • GCC experience is a must
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational ability
