Purpose of the Job
The Data Visualization & Optimization Manager will lead the advanced data visualization and reporting function within the sales development team. This role is responsible for transforming datasets and analytical insights into dynamic, visually compelling dashboards, tools, and platforms that drive decision-making and sales optimization.
The manager will also oversee the development of innovative solutions for sales targets, incentives, and insights management, while ensuring data is translated into actionable intelligence that aligns with business goals.
Job Description
Data Visualization & Reporting:
• Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards that present actionable sales insights in a user-friendly and visually appealing manner.
• Enhance existing reporting tools and dashboards by integrating advanced visualization techniques and interactivity.
• Ensure consistency and standardization of all reports and dashboards, aligning with the global sales strategy.
Optimization & Advanced Tools Development:
• Design and implement tools for sales targets, incentive schemes, and performance tracking.
• Build a centralized platform for documenting insights and analytics, enabling easy access and cross-functional collaboration.
• Lead efforts to upgrade static reports into automated, interactive visualizations in PPT, PDF, and other formats.
Insights Documentation & Communication:
• Collaborate with the insights and analytics team to translate data into compelling narratives and presentations.
• Standardize the process of delivering insights across the organization, ensuring consistency in format and delivery.
• Support cross-functional teams by providing detailed and tailored dashboards and reports as needed.
Leadership & Collaboration:
• Work closely with regional/global sales development, finance, and D&T teams to ensure alignment on data integration and visualization goals.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members working on data visualization projects.
• Function as a bridge between technical data teams and business stakeholders to ensure outputs are actionable and aligned with strategic objectives.
Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies related to data visualization and analytics.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improving the accessibility, interactivity, and value of sales dashboards and tools.
• Establish best practices and processes for data visualization and reporting to ensure scalability and consistence.
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
• Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in data visualization, analytics, and reporting, preferably in a B2B or logistics environment.
• Demonstrated experience with tools like Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce CRM Analytics, and advanced Excel.
• Proven ability to design and implement advanced data visualization solutions.
• Strong proficiency in data visualization tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
• Expertise in storytelling with data and creating impactful presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
