Purpose of the Job

The Senior and Lead Architect leads and coordinates the design of solution architecture for Digital & Technology department projects while ensuring the evolution of existing platforms. They analyze business requirements, assess technical implications, and recommend appropriate solutions considering cost and timelines. Additionally, they ensure alignment with Aramex IT architecture strategy in collaboration with the Aramex IT Planning, Architecture and Security teams.

• Ensure holistic solution design focusing on overall project success by considering various aspects such as functionality, technical feasibility, and alignment with enterprise standards.

• Coordinate solution delivery to ensure smooth implementation and operation of solutions across the organization.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s in IT, computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7+ years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in digital architecture or solution design.
• Knowledge in Freight and logistics system architecture like Cargowise, WMS e.g. Infor, TMS applications
• Familiarity with information systems management practices (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, CMMI, SDLC, etc.).
• Experience in web application design or development required.
• Experience with multiple and diverse technology environments and software solutions.
• Front End design, Data modelling, integration design, business process automation design.
• Experience implementing Agile projects.
• Experience in web development and understanding of web application architecture.
• Proficiency in SQL programming and relational databases.
• Proficiency in at least one development language e.g. C#, Java, Python.
• Proficiency in UI development languages e.g. JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
• Deep understanding of REST and SOAP integrations.
• Proven track record in enterprise-wide API management, microservices, event-driven architectures and complex integrations, understanding of data types and data structures.
• Dev-Sec-Ops with hand on CI/CD experience.
