Credit Officer

Purpose of the Job

As a Credit Officer at Aramex, you will play a vital role in our credit team, ensuring timely payments from our customers. You will be responsible for collecting outstanding customer balances, managing the collection process efficiently, and collaborating with the sales team to resolve customer payment challenges. This includes handling bad debt accounts and achieving established collection targets.

Job Description

• Review daily sales team activity and recommend follow-up actions for collections.
• Proactively identify and address collection challenges to prevent overdue accounts within the assigned group of executives. This includes closely monitoring outstanding balances and promptly engaging with customers to find solutions.
• Escalate problematic customer cases to the sales team and follow up on progress
• Support the assigned group of executives in achieving monthly collection targets
• Manage and collect payments on challenging accounts to meet assigned collection targets for bad debt reduction
• Work with the sales team to resolve customer disputes and issue necessary amendment requests
• Calculate and share bad debt provision estimates for the assigned customer group with the sales team
• Coordinate client visits with the sales team throughout the month as needed

Job Responsibilities - Experience and Education

• Minimum 1 year experience in collections or credit role
• Computer literacy and proficient in MS Excel
• Familiarity with Accounting principles is a plus
• Valid driving license
