Country Manager I

Purpose of the Job

The Country Manager primary duties and responsibilities include delivering the financial objectives of the organization whilst overseeing the day-to-day business operations across functions, executing global strategy and driving general business strategy, overseeing the manpower planning, country P&L ownership and management while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. The Country Manager is responsible to set and cascade goals with their direct line of reports to ensure the achievement of the local and regional strategy. This role also accepts directorship responsibility on behalf of Aramex in relation to external financial, government and other entities.

Job Description

  • Monitors the station’s overall financial performance, including products revenue, product margins, cost control and profitability as well as working capital
  • Ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and that the company operates within the bounds of the law. This involves understanding and adhering to various legal compliance requirements.
  • Have knowledge and a good understanding about key areas of legal compliance (such as, for example, employment and labor laws, corporate governance, environmental regulations, intellectual property laws, and data protection and privacy laws) in order to protect the business and maintain its integrity.
  • Creates and implements commercial growth strategies and initiatives for products across various segments and industries which align with Regional and Global strategy.
  • Ensure deep insight to value proposition, market segmentation, strategy and differentiation, market insight, brand strategy and industry trends, white space opportunities and ensure that this is aligned to the corporate goals.
  • Manages the country’s performance and develops solutions to meet market demands.
  • Engage in initiatives to continue to build the company’s profile and brand in the market.
  • Oversees operational KPIs to ensure cost efficiency and service delivery as per defined Global SLAs as well as customers’ SLAs.
  • Direct and coordinate the company’s financial, budget and forecasting activities to deliver on agreed upon financial goals.

Job Responsibilities - Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain Management, Engineering or any other field advantageous
  • 7+ years of management experience
