Regional HR Business Partner

Purpose of the Job

 

The purpose of an HRBP role is to facilitate the achievement of organizational objectives through effective HR practices, talent management, employee engagement, and strategic partnership with business leaders. By aligning HR initiatives with business priorities and fostering a positive work environment, HRBPs contribute to the overall success and sustainability of the organization.

Job Description

 

•    Ensuring full compliance with law regulations in the different markets.
•    Develop strategies to deal with grievances and employee concerns as they relate to HR matters
•    Assist local HR teams in handling employees relations issues by setting guidelines to facilitate investigations.
•    Shape up frameworks that ensure smooth run of daily and admin activities.
•    Partnering with HRIS team, Global Director of people insights and local HR teams to ensure that employees data is protected at all times and develop a routine for data cleansing exercise. 
•    Draft, review, negotiate and update all employment agreements, contracts, offer letters, termination of employments letters/agreements in line with local laws and regulations.  
•    Conduct research and analysis of legal problems and present the same to RHRD. 
•    Ensuring that disciplinary procedures are being run fairly and in full respect of the employee.
•    Ensure that all HR policies and procedures across the Region are regularly reviewed and continue to reflect both up-to-date employment law and best practices.
•    Develop yearly employee relations agenda and ensure that successful implementation across all markets.
•    Ensure smooth monthly payroll runs in all markets in collaboration with local HR and HRSS teams and assist local HRs in resolving any problems that may arise.
•    Prepare HR analytics reports regularly highlighting focus areas and submit to RHRD.
•    Lead the leave management system across the region.
•    Ensuring that cost optimization is maintained.
•    Partner with senior hiring managers to anticipate staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies that attract top talent.
•    Ensure HR function's strict adherence to local employment laws and regulations, mitigating risk and safeguarding the organization.
•    Analyze HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
•    Design and implement advanced strategies to foster a culture of engagement, enhance employee morale, and boost retention rates in the respective markets.
•    Develop strategies which aim to cultivate strong, trusted relationships with business leaders and department heads to fully understand their evolving needs and priorities.
•    Cascade down the Regional HR agenda at a market level and ensure successful implementation within the Region 
 

Job Responsibilities - Experience and Education

 

•    A bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is often required. 
•    Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the logistics and shipping industry.
•    Progressive experience in human resources, with a focus on HR business partnering, employee relations, talent management, or organizational development.
•    Previous experience in a strategic HR role, working closely with senior leadership and business stakeholders, is highly desirable.
•    Experience in a specific industry or sector may be preferred, depending on the organization's needs (e.g., logistic, Retail, healthcare, technology, finance).
•    Professional certifications such as PHR (Professional in Human Resources), or SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources). Is a Plus
•    Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
•    Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
