Logistics Supervisor
Purpose of the Job
The Logistics Supervisor at Aramex is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the logistics team at Aramex, ensuring efficient and timely movement of goods. This role involves managing logistics processes, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations to optimize supply chain performance.
Job Description
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the logistics team, ensuring efficient handling of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock management and timely replenishment.
- Collaborate with the operations, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure seamless logistics operations and timely delivery of goods.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Analyze logistics performance metrics and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate logistics staff to enhance team performance and achieve departmental goals.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Conduct regular audits of logistics operations and implement process improvements to enhance overall performance.
- Ensure that all logistical documentation is accurate and maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities - Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry is highly desirable.
- Ability to motivate and develop the team.
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc…)
