National Insurance Risk Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage insurance portfolio and  administration for the company in accordance with FSCA Framework:
  • Identifying and assessing areas of significant business risk and drafting and implementation of appropriate procedures and controls
  • Implementing best business practices
  • Recommendations on control gaps and weaknesses identified during reviews
  • Reporting of all findings and tracking of issues raised to management
  • High level review of Cell Captive Balance Sheet
  • Investigate and report FSCA Compliance
  • Managing of Annual renew process from FSCA and external stakeholders
  • Drafting, amending, and implementing FSCA amendments
  • Liaising with External stakeholder
  • Investigate and determine causes of irregularities and errors, including monitoring and follow up regarding reports
  • Provide consultation and undertaking advise to business
  • Maintaining Corporate Risk Register
  • Manage full insurance function for the company, including insurance declarations and renewals
  • Manage client take-on and application process in  terms of insurance risk and liability
  • Continuous support to the business on insurance related matters
  • Perform adhoc duties as directed
  • Processing of Marine Insurance Claim.
  • Management of marine insurance claim via Claims Bordereau.
  • Review of Marine Insurance Claims & Related documentation to insurers.
  • Review of settlement of marine insurance claims.
  • Management Marine insurance claim filing.
  • Managing monthly for submission of Marine insurance declaration to insurers.
  • Review of building & asset Claims to insurers.
  • Review submission of motor vehicle accident claims to insurers.
  • Correspondence with insurers & attorneys

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 year relevant degree and/or diploma
  • Minimim of 5 -10 years experience in similar role
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in managing a team
  • Completed RE05 exam in terms of FSCA
  • Computer Literate (MS Office Packages)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
