Checker Grade 2 / Team Leader

Location -Cape Town  ,South Africa (ZA)

Key Responsibilities 
     Inbound
o    Ensure all inbound data is completed correctly in terms of  physical stock and system movements.
o    Perform quality checks on inbound cargo once received.
o    Ensure that quality checks are carried out to the correct standard by Checker grade I .
o    Ensure that all stock is binned correctly following receipt of cargo.
o    Quality check the binning of stock. 
o    All SLA’s need to be maintained within customer requirements.

    Inventory / Picking
o    Ensure that all cargo is picked correctly as per the documents that have been received.
o    Perform quality checks on stock that has been picked as required. 
    Checking the Product / SKU / Serial / Quantity etc is correct as per documentation
o    Ensure all picks are completed within SLA.

    Outbound / Checking
o    Ensure that all stock is quality checked following picking.
o    All cargo to be packaged according to company policy and client SLA’s / Requirements 
o    Ensure that all documentation is complete and in line with company and client SLA.
o    Report any errors to Supervisor / Line manager
o    Ensure all outbound orders are completed and handed over to inhouse

    General
o    Ensure that all documentation is completed and correct. 
o    Make sure that Client queries are attended to in a timely manner.
o    Assist Despatch Clerk / Supervisor with queries as they arise.
o    Assist with inventory / cycle counts.
o    Check inventory reports from Checker Grade 1.
o    Ensure that house keeping is maintained within allocated areas.
o    Ensure that all health and safety principles are followed and reported in the event of an infraction.
o    Supervise and checks the work of general workers and Checker Grade l’s.

 

Minimum Requirements
    Matric (Grade 12)
    Must be computer literate (MS Office Packages)
    Must have minimum 2 years’ experience within the warehouse environment.
    Minimum 1 year experience within a leadership role
