Purpose of the Job
As an Operations Manager in Aramex, you will work with multiple business and technical teams to manage successful delivery performance, drive continuous improvement, and exceed the expectations of the customers by ensuring deliveries are quick, accurate and cost effective.
Job Description
- Develop and empower your team to consistently meet service level agreements (SLAs), exceed client expectations, and drive operational efficiency.
- Lead and implement projects to streamline operations, optimize workflows, and achieve superior performance.
- Collaborate with sales to establish client expectations and ensure smooth delivery fulfillment
- Oversee ground, domestic, and fleet operations, ensuring compliance with all safety, security, and sustainability standards.
- Maintain positive relationships with subcontractors to facilitate business growth and development
- Analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize resource allocation and manage operating expenses effectively.
- Determine access requirements to information within the fleet, domestic and ground operations teams to guarantee privacy and confidentiality based on sensitivity, classification, legal requirements and company policies, and pass to IT for implementation
- Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives and Lean tools
- Develop and maintain the fleet, domestic and ground operations teams’ response and recovery plan during a disruptive incident, using the tools and templates provided by the local business continuity coordinator working within the BIE team
- Manage Ground operations, Domestic, fleet inbound and outbound and warehouse operations and ensure compliance to service expectations and quality standards
- Monitor and control operations cost
- Set the growth plan with the station manager
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
- At least 7 years of experience in a leadership / managerial position in the same industry
- Bachelors of Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics or related field. Masters degree in related field is considered as a plus
- Experience in implementing and enforcing operational standards and procedures
