Purpose of the Job
The Branch Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Orange depot operations to achieve operational, service, safety and financial objectives. The role provides leadership across employees, Courier Franchisees (CFs), contractors and stakeholders to ensure operational excellence, cost optimisation, compliance, customer satisfaction and business performance.
The role is accountable for driving operational efficiency, maintaining safety standards, ensuring compliance with the Aramex franchise system and supporting sustainable depot growth through strong leadership and performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day depot operations to meet service and performance targets
- Drive operational efficiency, productivity and cost control
- Lead, coach and develop a team of 10+ staff and contractors
- Build a high-performance, accountable and inclusive team culture
- Ensure compliance with WHS, Chain of Responsibility and company standards
- Monitor KPIs, identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including franchisees and internal teams
- Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of teams
To be successful in this role
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior operational leadership role
- Experience managing operational teams and performance outcomes
- Background in logistics, transport or distribution (preferred)
- Experience managing performance, compliance and team development
- Exposure to unions and industrial matters (preferred)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and systems
- Understanding of WHS and Chain of Responsibility requirements
- Ability to lead change and continuous improvement initiatives
