The Branch Manager at Aramex (Malaysia) SDN BHD Penang branch will spearhead the commercial and operational functions of the branch with comprehensive responsibility for achieving revenue growth, profitability, and service excellence. Job Description
Strategic Commercial Growth & Market Expansion
- Develop and implement robust business development strategies aimed at surpassing revenue and profitability goals across freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation, and integrated supply chain solutions.
- Proactively identify emerging market trends and customer demands to secure new business opportunities and expand the branch’s portfolio through innovative service offerings and value-added solutions.
- Lead negotiations for RFQs, bids, and contract renewals with a focus on maximizing commercial outcomes while ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Cultivate and deepen strategic partnerships and key accounts by delivering personalized, solution-oriented engagement tailored to client needs.
Branch Leadership, Financial Management & Operational Excellence
- Assume full ownership of the branch’s financial performance, managing budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability to meet strategic business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, cost reduction, and process standardization aligned with Aramex quality and safety standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators and conduct thorough business reviews to identify gaps, opportunities, and execute corrective measures promptly.
- Lead by example to foster a culture of accountability, safety adherence, innovation, and teamwork throughout the branch.
Customer Relationship Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the principal liaison for strategic customers, overseeing service delivery, issue resolution, and enhancing customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Represent Aramex in industry forums, networking events, and commercial discussions to elevate brand visibility and market share.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align customer requirements with operational capabilities, ensuring seamless service execution.
Team Leadership & Talent Development

Job Requirements - Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required to provide a strong foundation in commercial and operational principles.
- At least 8 years of progressive leadership experience in branch management or commercial roles within freight forwarding or logistics sectors, demonstrating a history of business growth and operational excellence.
- Proven success in business development, customer acquisition, managing key accounts, and driving sustained revenue growth.
- Experience with full profit and loss responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing financial performance to meet branch targets effectively.
- Outstanding commercial acumen combined with strong negotiation, pricing strategies, and stakeholder management skills to maximize value creation.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing, coaching, and inspiring teams, alongside excellent analytical and strategic decision-making skills.
