Purpose of the Job

To lead and manage the express and domestic operations at Aramex, ensuring efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery of shipments. The role involves overseeing daily operations, optimizing logistics processes, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight:
    • Manage day-to-day express and domestic shipment operations including pickup, sorting, linehaul, and last-mile delivery.
    • Ensure compliance with Aramex’s operational standards and procedures.
    • Monitor KPIs such as delivery timelines, shipment accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and mentor operations staff including couriers, warehouse personnel, and dispatchers.
    • Conduct regular training sessions on safety, process improvements, and customer service.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Collaborate with IT and logistics teams to leverage technology for route optimization and real-time tracking.
  • Customer Service & SLA Management:
    • Ensure service levels are met or exceeded for all express and domestic shipments.
    • Handle escalations and resolve operational issues affecting customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Compliance:
    • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, cost analysis, and improvement plans.
    • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination:
    • Work closely with sales, customer service, and finance teams to align operational goals with business objectives.
    • Coordinate with regional and global teams for best practice sharing and system upgrades.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or express delivery operations, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and express shipment processes.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
