Purpose of the Job
This role will contribute to the measurement, analysis and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with freight, transportation and logistics services. The successful candidate will help ensure our carbon reporting remains accurate, transparent and aligned with leading industry frameworks, enabling customers to better understand and reduce their supply chain emissions.

Job Description
Carbon Accounting & Analysis
- Support the preparation of customer carbon footprint reports covering logistics activities including air, road and sea freight.
- Assist in calculating GHG emissions across Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 categories using recognized methodologies.
- Apply emissions factors and methodologies aligned with GHG Protocol and the GLEC Framework.
- Conduct data analysis to calculate emissions intensity metrics (e.g. per shipment, per tonne-km).
Data Management & Processing
- Collect, clean and structure operational logistics data from multiple internal systems.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based models and calculation tools for emissions calculations.
- Assist in improving data pipelines, automation and calculation methodologies.
- Perform quality checks and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency of carbon calculations.
Reporting & Customer Support
- Contribute to the preparation of customer-facing carbon reports and dashboards.
- Respond to ad-hoc analysis requests from internal teams and customers.
- Assist in developing insights that help customers understand emissions drivers and reduction opportunities.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve carbon calculation tools, reporting processes and data quality.
- Stay informed on emerging developments in carbon accounting methodologies and sustainability reporting standards.
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and perform quantitative analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Excellent problem-solving ability and analytical thinking.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and deliver results within deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 1-3 years’ work experience in analytical/quantitative focused role
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Python, R, KNIME, Alteryx, Power BI or similar.
- Familiarity with GHG accounting methodologies such as the GHG Protocol or GLEC Framework.
- Understanding of logistics operations or freight transportation systems.
- Experience developing automated data workflows or dashboards.
- Experience working with teams and stakeholders located across different geographical locations and time zones.
- Demonstrates a genuine interest in climate change and sustainability.
- Is curious, proactive and eager to learn.
- Shows tenacity in solving complex data challenges.
- Is highly organised and detail oriented.

- Bachelor’s degree in in Environmental Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Physics, Geography, Computer Science
- Postgraduate study in sustainability, climate change or environmental management is advantageous.
