Purpose of the Job

To provide reliable, efficient, and timely IT support for employees at the Global Support Office (GSO). The role ensures stable daily operations across hardware, software, meeting room systems, access control, inventory and stock management, and user onboarding/offboarding. This position is essential for maintaining smooth IT services, resolving issues quickly, and ensuring employees can perform their work without interruption.

Job Description

- Provide first-line and second-line technical support for laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations, printers, and mobile devices.

- Install, configure, and troubleshoot software such as Microsoft Office, Teams, email clients, and business applications.

- Prepare IT assets for new employees, including laptop configuration, monitor setup, user accounts, and handover.

- Handle user onboarding/offboarding tasks such as account creation, disabling accounts, and verifying asset return.

- Maintain accurate and updated inventory records for all IT assets.

- Keep the IT stockroom organized and properly labeled.

- Support meeting room systems including screens, tablets, audio/video equipment, and connectivity.

- Support physical security and access systems (doors, badges, permissions).

- Handle printers, toners, and secure printing solutions.

- Provide light network support (basic switching, wireless issues, patching).

- Manage incidents and service requests through the ticketing system.

- Ensure professional behavior, punctuality, and consistent availability.

- Document troubleshooting steps and standard procedures.

- Coordinate with other D&T teams, vendors, and departments when required.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 0–2 years of experience in an IT support role.

- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Teams, and general troubleshooting.

- Basic familiarity with macOS (simple troubleshooting, assisting users, basic settings).

- Experience with hardware support for laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and docking stations.

- Basic networking understanding (VLANs, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, simple switch tasks).

- Experience with user account management (Active Directory or similar).

- Understanding of IT asset tracking and stockroom organization.

- Strong customer-service skills and clear communication.

- High level of responsibility, punctuality, and attention to details.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Ability to work fully on-site.
