Corporate IT Operations Manager

Job Responsibilities  

 

Oversee data backup and system monitoring operations

 Assess system performance and recommend improvements

 Provide support and guidance to stakeholders via a help desk

 Manage contracts with vendors (e.g. development platforms, telecommunication companies, password managers) and software licenses

 Develop IT policies and practices

 Oversee the selection and training of qualified IT personnel to ensure an efficient unit.

 Monitor IT infrastructure using information technology control tools and real-time reporting systems.

 Manage and coordinate information technology operations of the business to ensure delivery of timely and effective IT services.

Conduct periodic inspections of IT systems to ensure efficient performance.

 Assist technical staff to check and ensure resolution of all issues to achieve all objectives.

 Design and maintain all IT process according to operation policies through standardization of methods.

 Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and implement changes

Define, design, and implement processes and procedures based on industry-standard Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) V3 

Drive root cause analysis and corrective action completion across IS; help eliminate disruption of services and improve day-to-day operations using validated problem analysis and tracking all elements of the RCA to closure.

Participate in technical calls for major incidents and outages

Manage the help desk, manage the data center, user provisioning, communications with the network, auditing, computer operations, backups management, monitoring management and managing the IT infrastructure library (ITIL).

 

Technical Responsibilities:

Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills

Very good understanding and working experience with technology as an enabler for the business

Ability to develop IT projects and Manager Project Implementations.

Demonstrate ability to deploy and/or improve new and existing services and infrastructure

Experience with system installation, configuration, and analysis

Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing

Knowledge of data protection operations and legislation (e.g. GDPR)

Leadership and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple projects

Outstanding communication skills

Problem-solving aptitude

Able to clearly articulate understanding of Problem, Change, and Event Management processes

ITIL expert certification

Experience in running incident, request, and change management

Flexibility and ability to tackle new challenges

Extremely high level of understanding and technical understanding

Previous experience in leading Digital IT services, Digital Channels, or Solutions.

Experience in managing IT systems, both servers, and cloud-based.

Strong interpersonal skills to communicate the benefits of automated operations processes to both development and operations teams.

Job Requirements

 

BSc/BA degree in Computer Science, IT, or relevant field

Proven experience as IT Operations Manager

10+ years of relevant ITIL service management experience

Excellent command in English

Excellent communication skills

Team spirit
