Purpose of the Job
Aramex, a leading global provider of logistics and transportation solutions that include express courier delivery, freight forwarding, supply chain management, e-commerce and record management service . The successful candidate will support freight forwarding operations by handling administrative tasks related to shipments, documentation, and customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
- Prepare and process import/export documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
- Input shipment details accurately into the company’s freight management system
- Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers to track and update shipment statuses
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company procedures
- Assist in booking cargo space and arranging transportation for air, sea, and land shipments
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely updates on shipment progress
- Maintain filing systems for all freight-related documents, both physical and electronic
- Support the accounting department with invoicing, billing discrepancies, and proof of delivery documents
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding documentation and clearance issues
- Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, photocopying, scanning, and maintaining logs and records
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics, supply chain, or business administration is a plus
- Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a similar administrative role preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and freight/logistics software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Familiarity with international trade terms (Incoterms), customs procedures, and shipping documentation is an advantage
