Freight Operations Manager - DHA

Location: KSA, Dammam

Grade: S3

Purpose of the Job

Support the station to ensure sustainable flow and growth of the freight operation

Job Responsibilities 

• Expert in container yard terminal services for both Import & Export Sea Freight.
• Maintain solid relation with all service providers (Shipping Lines, Air Carriers, Truck Suppliers)
• Managing department supervisors & ensure meeting their KPI’s (Setting KPI’s and conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports)
• Ensure effective utilization of resources and manpower
• Updating CW within time frame set by freight module instructions (Pre-alerts, updating cost , POD’s … etc )
• Monitor the work schedule for freight team
• Follow up with gateway operations on daily basis to ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are recovered and delivered to the carriers in accordance to the KPIS.
• Facilitate the communication between the CMTs and related freight operations on all their requests/shipments according to new FRT model

Job Requirements (Experience and education)

• Bachelor’s degree in business or any other field
• 5 years of relevant working experience in the Freight Forwarding industry
• Knowledge about global trade lanes, airlines & air freight solutions
• Experience in handling Key business client, airline & rate negotiation
• Cargo wise experience preferred
• Excellent MS office skills: Word, Excel and Power Point
• Good commands in professional emails writing
