Job Description
As Finance Manager, you'll manage all aspects of financial reporting, analysis, compliance, and control for Aramex Sydney and other entities as directed. This role provides leadership and oversight of the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, robust internal controls, and effective business partnering to drive financial performance.
Key responsibilities include:

Financial Management and Reporting
Oversee the month-end close process, prepare monthly and annual financial statements, and manage reconciliations, journals, and management reporting. -
Planning and Analysis
Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, deliver financial insights and variance analysis to support decision-making, and monitor performance against targets to identify risks and opportunities. -
Compliance and Governance
Ensure adherence to Australian accounting standards, tax legislation, and Aramex group policies while liaising with auditors and regulatory authorities, and maintaining robust internal controls, risk management, and financial procedures. -
Leadership and Team Development
- Supervise and support finance team members while providing coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance capability, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture across the Oceania finance function. -
Business Partnering
Partner with Sales, Account Management and Operations teams to deliver commercial finance support, including pricing strategy, margin analysis and contract profitability reviews
Conduct detailed cost-and-margin modelling by customer, products type — highlight trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
Work with Operations to identify and track cost-saving initiatives and monitor actual versus budgeted cost performance.
Support commercial negotiations by providing scenario modelling and pricing recommendations
Job Requirements - Experience and Education

Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.CA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.

Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in finance, including management responsibility.

Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, tax, and compliance requirements.

Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage a finance team
